ST. JOHN, Wash – A former teacher in the St. John-Endicott School District pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct with a minor.
The Whitman County Prosecutor’s Office says Mackenzie Naught now faces 6-12 months in prison, in accordance with state sentencing guidelines.
She’ll also have to register as a sex offender for 10 years.
Naught was a first grade teacher. The victim in this case was a teenager, not a student in her classroom.
According to court documents, Naught admitted having sex with a 16-year-old. Her husband was the one who turned her in.
She’ll be sentenced in late August and not allowed to contact the victim for at least five years.
