SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs added another international player to their 2026-27 ranks: Nathan de Sousa from France.
The shifty point guard arrives from three seasons of play at Cholet, a team in France’s top league, and he earned a finalist nod for the league’s most improved player award this offseason.
The 23-year-old brings valuable experience to a young Zags roster, and he has just one year of eligibility remaining after the NCAA decision to limit players to five years of college hoops after they turn 19.
De Sousa shot free throws roughly as accurately as Graham Ike, shot from the field roughly as well as Adam Miller, and shot from three roughly as well as Steele Venters, which was third-best on GU last season.
The point guard helps a depleted backcourt, headlined by returner Mario Saint-Supery and fellow newcomer Isiah Harwell.
