EVERETT, Wash. – The Gonzaga Prep Bullpups enter serious history today with defeating the No. 1-ranked Richland Bombers, 5-2, in the WIAA 4A state semifinals.
The Bullpups are the first Greater Spokane League team to reach even the semifinals since Mt. Spokane in 2022, and now they advance to the title game tomorrow.
Gonzaga Prep gets some revenge on Richland, as the Bombers beat the Bullpups in the 4A boys basketball title game just a couple of months ago in Tacoma. Richland finishes its season with three losses, two of which were to Gonzaga Prep within the last two weeks.
G-Prep faces Sumner in the championship game tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.
