MEAD — The 4 News Now Extreme Team continued upgrades at Camp Dart-Lo in Mead on Wednesday, the third day of their week-long community improvement project.
Mark Peterson and volunteers installed a drainage system near the greenhouse classroom to prevent students from tracking mud inside. They also prepared ground for a new picnic table installation.
The camp serves students from first through 12th grade with day sessions and overnight programs twice weekly.
“We have a very cool picnic table and Wilburt Precast is doing that, it’s really for the national forest service, they’ve donated one to us. It will never be broken,” Peterson said.
The complete transformation will be revealed Thursday during a live broadcast on 4 News Now at 6 p.m.
