COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – A man on federal probation and registered as a sex offender was arrested in Coeur d’Alene Wednesday, accused of exposing himself to a minor.
Police arrested Wade Weingart, a 50-year-old man from Cataldo, in the midtown area of Coeur d’Alene.
Officers say they got a call around 2:30 about a man exposing himself to a girl.
Police say he ran after being confronted, but police found and arrested him for indecent exposure.
Weingart is a registered sex offender, stemming from a federal charge of possessing sexually explicit images of minors.
In that case, Weingart was sentenced to five years in federal prison.
Federal prosecutors say Weingart admitted to having the materials on his computer, which included more than 60 videos of minors being sexually abused.
Prison records show he was released in October.
