SPOKANE, Wash. — A local business in downtown Spokane had to close its doors early on Tuesday because a group of alleged shoplifters pepper sprayed the owner.
Petunia and Loomis made the announcement on its Facebook page just after 4:30 p.m.
According to Petunia and Loomis owner Jesse McCauley, a group of teenagers entered the store around 3:40 p.m. and took something without paying.
When McCauley confronted the teens outside the store, he said one of them turned around and pepper sprayed him.
Petunia and Loomis specializes in oddities and antiques and is located downtown near Boo Radley’s and Atticus Coffee.
