WASHINGTON, D.C. – Former Gonzaga Bulldogs star Corey Kispert has a new home: the Atlanta Hawks.
Kispert joins CJ McCollum leaving the Washington Wizards in a trade with the Hawks for longtime star point guard Trae Young.
Joining the Washington Wizards following his first-round selection in the 2021 NBA Draft, Kispert has spent his entire career so far in the nation’s capital.
Kispert averages 9.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.67 assists shooting just below 50% on the season.
At Gonzaga, the Edmonds native earned a consensus first-team All-American nod, the Julius Erving Award and WCC Player of the Year all in 2021, leading to his 15th overall selection.
