SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Gonzaga women’s basketball team came up just short on the road, falling 77-73 to Santa Clara.
The Bulldogs slipped to 11-5 overall, suffering their first conference loss after opening WCC action with three straight wins. Gonzaga made its push late in the game trimming a double-digit deficit to one possession in the final minutes.
The Gonzaga women’s team will return to Spokane to host Portland on January 10 at 2 p.m.
