SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs (7-5) women’s basketball team dominated the glass to pull in a 68-49 win over the Missouri State Bears (7-5).
Lauren Whittaker led GU both in scoring and rebounding, picking up an impressive 19 point-16 rebound double-double.
The Zags committed 22 turnovers, including multiple from every starter but Ines Bettencourt (zero), but played good transition defense, as the Bears only managed 18 points off said giveaways.
Gonzaga next ends their non-conference schedule with a date at the UC Riverside Highlanders this Sunday.
