NEZ PERCE COUNTY, Idaho — Idaho State Police is investigating a fatal crash that killed one man and hospitalized two others Tuesday afternoon.
According to ISP, an 80-year-old man and woman from Peck were driving a Subaru Forester eastbound on Highway 12 about 17 miles outside of Lewiston around 4 p.m.
ISP says their vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic for an unknown reason and hit a westbound Ford Bronco head-on.
The Bronco rolled and caught fire. Bystanders were able to pull the driver from the vehicle, and she was transported to an area hospital.
The man in the Subaru died at the scene. The woman was airlifted to a hospital.
The crash is under investigation.
