SPOKANE, Wash. — Join the Spokane Riverkeeper this Friday for a cleanup effort from Water Avenue to Downriver Park.
Spokane Riverkeeper will be meeting at the boat ramp at 1702 West Water Avenue at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 15, to unload boats and gear and organize a self-shuttle.
Volunteers plan to get on the water by 10:30 a.m.
Dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get wet. Don’t forget to bring water.
Spokane Riverkeeper will provide trash bags, gloves and trash grabbers. Personal flotation devices are required and must be worn at all times on the river during the clean-up.
You can bring your own boat or reserve a seat on the Spokane Riverkeeper raft. Spaces on the raft are limited.
