SPOKANE, Wash. — If your kiddo is in need of new school supplies before the start of the year, check out Salvation Army’s family-friendly event on Wednesday!
On August 13, Salvation Army Spokane will host its annual “Backpacks for Kids” distribution. The free event provides new backpacks filled with school supplies for students in grades K-12.
The event will also feature free haircuts for kids, free immunizations and a vendor resource fair with over 40 local organizations offering helpful information and services.
Free hotdogs will also be available while supplies last.
Backpacks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents or guardians must bring a photo ID and proof of children living in the house (school registration, DSHS statement, student ID, medical card, etc.)
The event will take place at The Salvation Army Spokane (223 E. Nora Avenue) from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., while supplies last.
