SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane has set up a webpage to help immigrant and refugee communities know their rights.
According to the city, the website provides people with information on their constitutional rights and protections provided to all people in the United States.
The page offers “Red Cards” for people which outline rights regardless of immigration status. The cards are available in almost 20 languages.
“Our city is stronger because of the diversity of people who call Spokane home,” Mayor Lisa Brown said. “This new website is just one way we are working to ensure that everyone, no matter where they come from, has access to the support they need to feel safe.”
