SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Deputies arrested a man who took his pants off on a city bus and fought with responding deputies on Tuesday morning, according to Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 9:30 a.m. on July 29, deputies responded to a call about a man who took his pants off and exposed his genitals on a bus at the Park & Ride near Hastings Road and Division Street.
When deputies arrived, they found 40-year-old David Wyman on the bus standing by the driver. No other passengers were on board.
Deputies tried to get Wyman to comply, but he became agitated.
SCSO said Wyman was acting “very erratically” and said there were rattlesnakes on the bus that bit him.
SCSO said he appeared to be suffering from some kind of delirium.
After a brief struggle, deputies handcuffed Wyman and he was taken to the hospital.
He was treated for an overly high body temperature and additional care and SCSO forwarded Wyman’s information to local mental health professionals.
Wyman was later released from the hospital and booked into the Spokane County Jail for third-degree assault, resisting arrest, indecent exposure and unlawful transit conduct.
One deputy received minor injuries and others were exposed to blood and had equipment damaged.
