STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — Evacuations have been reduced for the over 2,500-acre wildfire near Tumtum.
According to incident management, the Lake Spokane Fire is currently 2,556 acres and 38% contained.
Evacuations within the fire perimeter have been lowered from Level 3 (GO NOW) to Level 2 (Get Set) evacuations. The old Level 2 evacuations have also been downgraded to Level 1 from Happy Hills Road to Rail Canyon.
Firefighters will continue work on containment lines around the Lake Spokane Fire on Saturday and containment is expected to increase.

The boat ramp at Lake Spokane Campground is temporarily closed to support water operations on the Lake Spokane Fire.
