KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — A man was sentenced to prison on Tuesday for robbing a gas station at gunpoint earlier this year.
On July 22, a district judge sentenced 40-year-old Vance Robert Groene to prison for robbing a gas station while wearing a mask and holding a revolver back in January.
The Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said Groene had been heavily drinking before he robbed the station and got away with over $1,000.
Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office found Groene within 24-hours of the robbery.
With a 20-year criminal record, the judge sentenced Groene to a 15-year prison sentence with the possibility of parole after three years.
