MEAD, Wash. — All evacuations for the fire burning in Mead have been lifted, according to Spokane Regional Emergency Communications.
Around 6:15 p.m. on June 18, SCFD9 completed all work on the Parksmith Fire burning in Mead and lifted all evacuations.
The fire broke out around 3:20 p.m. and originally threatened multiple structures.

Forward progress has been stopped on a wildfire burning in Mead.
Washington Department of Natural Resources says the fire is estimated to be around 1 to 2 acres in size.
Evacuations have been reduced to Level 2 (Be Set) for the area east of Market Street and South of Stoneman Road, including people living on Sorrel Lane and Florida Lane.

Spokane County Fire District 9 says the fire started around 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday. It is spreading fast due to winds and extremely dry conditions in the area.
Multiple structures were threatened by the fire. Firefighters are working to get a line around the fire.
