LEWISTON, Idaho — The Lewiston Police Department says an 80-year-old man was hit and killed by a truck while crossing the road Tuesday night.
According to LPD, Dennis Diaz of Lewiston was crossing 21st Street near 18th Street when a driver in a Ford F150 hit Diaz.
A Lewiston police officer was already in the area and began life-saving measures on Diaz.
Other first responders arrived but Diaz ultimately died at the scene.
Lewiston Police’s Major Collision Investigation Team is investigating. LPD did not say if the driver is facing any charges.
