HAYDEN, Idaho — A 13-year-old is expected to make a full recovery from being hit by a car while riding a bike.
According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, the child was crossing the intersection at Orchard Avenue and Ramsey Road in Hayden around 2:45 p.m. Monday.
Deputies says the child was hit by a vehicle and suffered multiple injuries including broken bones and a possible head injury.
The child was taken to an area hospital.
KCSO says the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
The sheriff’s office wants to remind people to be more mindful on the roads as schools let out for the summer.
