KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. — Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuations are in place for a fire burning north of Red Bridge Road east of Cle Elum on Monday evening, according to Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 5:00 p.m. on June 9, Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuations were issued for the Red Bridge Road Fire for all residences north and east of Red Bridge Road to the Teanaway River. People in the area must leave immediately.
Kittitas Sheriff’s Office said Red Bridge Road is currently closed between Masterson and Teanaway Road.
Level 2 (GET SET) evacuations are also in place outside of the Level 3 (GO NOW) zone for people near Highway 970 and between Mason Creek an Musser Creek. People under Level 2 evacuations should be prepared to leave at a moment’s notice.
Department of Natural Resources and local fire teams are working to control the flames.
Officials ask the public to stay clear of the area so emergency vehicles can get through to the crews.
