SPOKANE, Wash. — Move your car off the Bloomsday route before midnight Sunday to avoid being towed!
The Spokane Police Department is warning people of closures in and around downtown Spokane and safety tips for the annual race.
SPD recommends check out their map of the course and be mindful of red placards lining the road which indicate if you’re in a tow zone.
Closure for streets on the course begin at 4 a.m. Sunday.
If you need to travel through downtown, police say Ash, Maple, Division/Browne, and Hamilton streets will remain open throughout the day.
Additionally, SPD says backpacks are not allowed at the race and instead people can bring a clear bag.
SPD reminds people that if you see suspicious behavior, report it!
