AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — A 14-year-old is facing felony assault charges due to an incident at Westwood Middle School Wednesday morning.
According to Airway Heights Police, the assault was caught on video around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Two videos were sent to 4 News Now. One video showed two students fighting in a bathroom while others recorded. Another video showed a student put a sweatshirt over his own head before another student kicked him in the face.
It’s unclear at this time which incident led to the arrest.
The student was arrested and booked into Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center for felony assault.
Police say the investigation is ongoing. No further information will be released at this time.
4 News Now reached out to Cheney Public Schools who said they were aware of the incident and are fully cooperating with the investigation.
