SEATTLE, Wash. — The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) is expanding to the Pacific Northwest!
The PWHL announced Wednesday an expansion team would be coming to Seattle for the 2025-26 season.
The team will play home games at Climate Pledge Arena.
PWHL says the team will be called the PWHL Seattle until a permanent team name is chosen. Seattle will also wear emerald green and cream as its colors.
Seattle joins Vancouver as the first two expansion teams in the PWHL joining Boston, Minnesota, Montreal, New York, Ottawa, and Toronto.
