COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — A 10-year-old is facing charges for bringing a realistic-looking pellet gun to Northwest Expedition Academy and threatening to cause a lockdown on Wednesday.
According to Coeur d’Alene Police, the student showed the gun to friends while riding the bus to school around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
School staff detained the student as soon as the bus arrived at school. The pellet gun was in the student’s backpack.
Police say the student is now facing charges for threatening violence on school grounds.
