GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — Grant County Fire District 13 is reminding you to be diligent when it comes to keeping controlled burns under control.
The fire district responded to a controlled burn that got out of hand Saturday. They were able to put it out successfully.
Fire officials say to remember even a small gust of wind can spread fire fast. Make sure you have water, hand tools and multiple people tending to the controlled burn.
If a controlled burn gets out of control, call 911 or the fire department.
