MOSCOW, Idaho — A man wanted for manslaughter by Kentucky State Police was arrested in Moscow on Thursday.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. on March 27, the Moscow Police Department arrested 43-year-old Aaron S. Hypes on a felony warrant.
According to officials, Hypes is wanted out of Butler County, Kentucky, for charges of manslaughter, fentanyl trafficking, and being a persistent felony offender.
Kentucky law enforcement contacted the Moscow Police Department on March 27, indicating they believed Hypes was in the Moscow or Latah County area.
Due to the elevated risk, the Latah County Regional SWAT Team, consisting of members from the Moscow Police Department and Latah County Sheriff’s Office, were deployed.
According to officials, Hypes was located on N. Polk Street Extension and arrested without incident.
Hypes was transported to Latah County Jail and awaiting extradition to Kentucky.
