SPOKANE, Wash. — What makes a great riverwalk?
USA TODAY has nominated Spokane’s Riverfront Park for Best Riverwalk and the Centennial Trail for Best Recreational Trail in the U.S. for 2025.
Cities across the U.S. have transformed their riverfronts into vibrant spaces for recreation, cultural events, dining, and nightlife.
Walking along any of the 20 riverwalks, selected by an expert panel as the best in the country, offers a unique combination of natural beauty and urban energy.
Voting is open until 8 a.m. PST on April 7.
The 10 winners, determined by voters, will be announced on April 16.
