CHENEY, Wash. — If you live near Cheney, you may see some smoke over the next several weeks.
U.S. Fish and Wildlife is planning to do prescribed burns at the Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge.
The burns will happen at select times through May depending on weather and environmental conditions.
Prescribed burns help reduce risk of serious wildfires and help restore habits for native plants and animals.
