LAS VEGAS, Nevada – The season isn’t over for the Washington State men’s basketball team. The Cougs will travel to Las Vegas later this month to compete in a brand-new post-season tournament.
The College Basketball Crown tips off March 31st at the MGM Grand Garden, facing Georgetown in the first game.
The first several rounds will be played there, then the tournament moves to T-Mobile Arena for the semifinals and championship.
Games will be televised on FS1 and Fox.
WSU ended the regular season the second round of the WCC tournament.
The Cougs join some familiar opponents in the field, including former Pac-12 members Arizona State, Colorado, Utah and USC. Future Pac-12 teams Boise State and Oregon State are also in the field of 16 teams, along with Butler, Cincinnati, DePaul, George Washington, Nebraska, Tulane, UCF and Villanova.
