BOZEMAN, Mont. – It’s the end of the road for the second-ever 10+ game winning season for the Idaho Vandals.
The Montana State Bobcats thumped Idaho 52-19 behind running back Adam Jones’ four rushing touchdowns and quarterback Tommy Mellott’s three.
MSU has won their sixth-straight home game over Idaho, twice this season after a 38-7 win back in October.
Vandal quarterback Jack Layne couldn’t play in that last loss due to injury, and tonight passed 20/30, 239 yards and two touchdowns, plus one interception.
Wide receiver Jordan Dwyer was the clear Vandal player of the game with 11 catches for 189 yards (season high) and two touchdowns, including one from 55 yards.
This concludes Idaho’s season at 10-4, their best season since 1988.
