SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane police are warning residents of a new phone scam circling around the area.
According to SPD, scam calls were made using the Partners with Family and Children contact number. This makes the scammer appear as if they are calling from the organization.
SPD said scammers are also using the name of an actual employee to try and obtain personal, medical and financial information.
If you receive a suspicious call like this one, do not give the caller any information. SPD said to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233 instead.
