SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Fire Department knocked down a fire at an apartment building in downtown Spokane Tuesday morning.
Firefighters responded to the Alexandria Apartments building on Howard Street near 6th Avenue for reports of a fire and at least one person jumping from a window around 7:45 a.m.
SFD says smoke was in the first-floor hallway but the small fire had already been extinguished by residents using a fire extinguisher.
SFD says no one is displaced and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is deemed to be suspicious.
