The heat is back. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s and 90s, with the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene area seeing highs between 91 and 95 degrees.
Triple-digit heat is possible in the LC Valley and Columbia Basin over the next two days.
Friday becomes even warmer, with highs reaching 100 degrees in the lower Basin and 94 to 97 for the Spokane area.
On Saturday, a pattern change brings a chance of thunderstorms and gusty winds. Lightning and wind gusts over 30 mph will increase fire concerns. Thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon have the potential to pack strong wind gusts and hail. It will be windy throughout the region in the afternoon and evening, with breezy weather remaining in the forecast for Sunday.
