GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — A Seattle man faces drug distribution charges after investigators connected him to the death of a 27-year-old Olympia resident at The Gorge Amphitheater during the Bass Canyon electronic dance music festival this past weekend, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Grant County’s Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested 28-year-old Quincy R. Travers on Sunday evening following an undercover operation.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the victim had consumed drugs purchased from Travers and died at the venue’s medical facility.
Travers faces one count of delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, ketamine and MDMA, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
INET detectives purchased suspected illegal drugs from Travers before making the arrest.
Concert venue operator Live Nation provided assistance to INET during the investigation.
The Grant County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy this week.
