VANCOUVER, Wash. — Washington State Patrol has issued an Amber Alert for a 7-month-old boy who authorities say was taken early Sunday in Vancouver.
Marcello Martinez was taken by 37-year-old Raul Martinez between approximately 5 and 6 a.m. Aug. 16 in the Vancouver area, according to the Washington State Patrol. The agency activated the Amber Alert on behalf of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
WSP said Marcello’s abduction poses a credible threat to his health and safety, as determined by the investigating agency.
Marcello is described as 24 inches tall and weighing about 16 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, according to the State Patrol. He was last seen wearing a blue onesie with the words “Grandma’s are the best” in neon lettering.
Raul Martinez, 37, is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, the State Patrol said. He was last seen wearing tight sweatpants, a white shirt and a blue-and-green jacket.
WSP did not list an associated vehicle or license plate number in the alert. However, the agency said a vehicle involved may have evidence tape on it.
Anyone who sees Marcello or Raul Martinez should call 911 immediately, according to the State Patrol.
