PULLMAN, Wash. — Three Washington State University fraternities are currently under investigation for alleged violations that happened soon after the start of the Fall semester.
According to the Student Organization Policy Violation Report on the university’s website, the three fraternities are Tau Kappa Epsilon, Sigma Chi and Sigma Phi Epsilon.
Tau Kappa Epsilon is currently suspended from all chapter activities for violations related to hazing, alcohol, reckless endangerment, harassment and violating university policy. The alleged violations happened between August 18 and August 30.
Sigma Phi Epsilon has alleged violations of physical harm, reckless endangerment and theft or damage to property. Sigma Chi also has alleged violations for physical harm and reckless endangerment. Violations for both fraternities stemmed from an incident on August 25.
Sigma Chi is under restrictions that prevent the fraternity from hosting events with alcohol present. Sigma Phi Epsilon can’t host any social events right now.
The first day of the Fall semester for Washington State University students was August 19.
