SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A man was arrested for hitting a woman with his car early Thursday morning in Spokane Valley.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Benjamin L. Grubbs was driving on North Sullivan Road near East Mission Road around 1 a.m. on Thursday when he hit a woman walking in the area.
The sheriff’s office says the woman was unconscious when first responders arrived and was transported to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Grubbs had left the area before deputies had arrived. Investigators contacted Grubbs Thursday afternoon and arrested him for felony hit-and-run charges.
