SPOKANE, Wash.— California Team 7 will host five public meetings throughout the Spokane area over four days to provide community updates on active fire incidents affecting the region.
The meetings run Monday, August 10, through Thursday, August 13, with sessions scheduled at 6 p.m. each evening. Residents unable to attend in person can participate virtually through livestreams available on the Spokane Area Fires Facebook page or the California Team 7 YouTube channel
Fairview Fire Meeting
The Fairview Fire public meeting for Fire District 9 takes place Monday, August 10, at 6 p.m. at the Union Event Center, located at 12508 North Market Street in Mead, Washington 99021.
Old Trails Fire Meetings
Two sessions address the Old Trails Fire affecting Fire District 10 and the City of Spokane. The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, at 6 p.m., and the second for Thursday, August 13, at 6 p.m. Both sessions will be held at Shadle Park High School, 4327 North Ash Street, Spokane, Washington 99205.
Autumn Lane Fire Meetings
The Autumn Lane Fire will be addressed in two separate meetings due to its impact across multiple jurisdictions. Stevens County Fire District #1 residents can attend a meeting Tuesday, August 11, at 6 p.m. at Lakeside High School, 5909 WA-291 in Nine Mile Falls, Washington 99026.
Spokane County residents affected by the Autumn Lane Fire can attend a meeting Wednesday, August 12, at 6 p.m. at Mead High School, 302 West Hastings Road, Spokane, Washington 99218.
Virtual Attendance Options
For those unable to attend meetings in person, virtual attendance provides an alternative way to stay informed. The Spokane Area Fires Facebook page and California Team 7 YouTube channel will stream all sessions live, allowing residents to participate from home.
Community members are encouraged to attend the meeting most relevant to their location and fire incident to receive updates and ask questions directly to fire management personnel.
