Spokane, Wash. — A new relief distribution site will open today to help families affected by the Spokane Complex Fires access donated materials and connect with recovery resources, according to Spokane County Emergency Management.
The Wildfire Relief Donation Management Site will operate from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Northtown Mall’s second floor in the old Sears building, located directly above Get Air Trampoline Park at 4901-4999 N Lidgerwood St.
Community members impacted by the fires can visit the site to receive donated supplies and essential materials while learning about local support programs. Organizers recommend parking on the second floor of the parking garage or upper deck for direct access to the distribution center.
The site will accept donations daily from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Needed items include hygiene supplies for men, women, children, and babies; non-perishable food items; paper plates, cups, and towels; plastic silverware; toilet paper; new and lightly used kitchen items such as dishes, mugs, glasses, and silverware; new unused towels; pet food; and gift cards.
The relief site cannot accept clothes, shoes, appliances, furniture, toys, cleaning supplies, or any medications.
Families seeking additional assistance beyond what the donation site provides can access more resources through the Spokane Community Resources website at SpokaneCommunityResources.org or by calling 211 to connect with ongoing support services.
The relief effort comes as communities across the region continue recovery efforts following the Spokane Complex Fires.
