GEORGE, Wash. — A crash involving five vehicles sent four people to the hospital, two of whom had to be life-flighted with serious injuries.
According to Washington State Patrol, a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Quincy man was following another vehicle too closely on northbound Highway 281 four miles north of George around 5 p.m.
WSP says the other vehicle was stopped to make a left-hand turn when the 19-year-old rear-ended them. That caused a chain-reaction that crashed into three other southbound vehicles.
Two people had to be life-flighted for their injuries. Two others were taken to the hospital including the 19-year-old.
Washington State Patrol says it’s investigating charges against the 19-year-old.
