SPOKANE, Wash. — UPDATE: Crews have rescued the teenager, and the teen was alert and talking to people while they were being put into the ambulance.
The Spokane Fire Department is currently working on a tactical rescue near the intersection of West Summit Blvd and North A street. Crews are attempting to rescue a teenager who was injured jumping off of Old Watermain Bridge over the Spokane River.
The extent of the injuries is unconfirmed, but the fire officials say that the teen was awake and responsive. They are rescuing the teen with what is essentially a backboard attached to a bike tire.
