SPOKANE, Wash – High winds and hot temperatures could lead to dangerous fire conditions across much of eastern Washington Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning that stretches from the Idaho border to the Cascade Mountains and south into Oregon.
NWS says the area could see wind gusts up to 45 miles and hour, with temperatures into the low 90s.
This creates critical fire weather conditions across the region.
People should take precautions to prevent fires from starting, as they could spread quickly.
That includes measures like not parking on dry grass and avoiding activities that could create sparks.
