MEDICAL LAKE, Wash – A bit of good news on a dangerous day in Spokane Tuesday. As of 3:30 pm, fire crews report they’ve stopped forward progress on a fire in Medical Lake.
The fire started early afternoon Tuesday, right around the same time a major wildfire broke out in the Upriver area just east of the Spokane city limits.
Crews issued level three (go now) evacuations for a small area right next to the water treatment ponds just south of Highway 902.
Spokane County Fire District 3 reports the fire burned about two acres.
