Wednesday will be calmer, but still breezy enough in the afternoon to keep fire conditions elevated by June standards.
Plan Your Wednesday
Temperatures today will again reach the 80s in the afternoon, but will be 3 to 5 degrees cooler than Tuesday. It will remain breezy with gusts up to 20 mph in the afternoon. This will be considerably less impactful than the winds on Tuesday, but it is enough for local wildfires to be a little more active in the second half of the day. Localized smoke could drop air quality into the moderate range.
What We’re Tracking
A long stretch of warm weather continues into the weekend. Temperatures will rise again through Friday into the upper 80s. We’ll see breezy conditions and another 5-8 degree cool down for Father’s Day. Sunday is also the first day of summer, and it will feel like it next week with some 90s possible by next Tuesday or Wednesday.
