MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the second time in as many seasons, a former Cougar lands on the NBA All-Rookie First Team.
Cedric Coward of the Memphis Grizzlies joins his teammate, Jaylen Wells, as an All-Rookie first team member. The two and Dallas Mavericks sharpshooter Klay Thompson are the only active WSU alums who landed the first team nod.
The former Wazzu and Eastern Washington star averaged 13.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists over his 62 games played and 47 starts.
Coward finished fifth in Rookie of the Year voting.
