SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Indians used a massive six-run, seventh-inning rally to race ahead to a 9-2 win over the Vancouver Canadians.
A wild pitch tied the game at two, followed by a Jacob Humphrey two-RBI double, an Ethan Hedges two-RBI double, and an Alan Espinal RBI single to lead 7-2 after the frame.
Another wild pitch and Humphrey’s bases-loaded walk earned the final pair of runs.
The win is Spokane’s sixth series-opening win after eight series played so far this season.
Spokane ties Vancouver in the season records, and they battle in Game 2 of the six-game series tomorrow at 6:35 p.m.
