SPOKANE, Wash. — The northbound lane south of Colbert has reopened following a crash between a motorcycle and pickup truck pulling a horse trailer Tuesday afternoon, according to Washington State Patrol.

Highway 2 northbound is now closed at milepost 299 south of Colbert after Washington State Patrol confirmed a motorcyclist died in a crash with a pickup truck pulling a horse trailer today.
The fatal crash happened around noon Tuesday near Carney Road.
A LifeFlight helicopter had been dispatched to the scene.
Traffic is now closed northbound with no estimated reopening time. State patrol is directing traffic to use alternate routes and avoid the area.
Washington State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
