SPOKANE, Wash. — The Central Library in Spokane will be hosting a resource fair and free Washington State ID event to help community members experiencing homelessness.
This free event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, May 12.
This event is designed for people experiencing homelessness and those who are income-limited.
Attendees can get a free replacement Washington State ID card or renew a driver’s license, if they have previously held a Washington State ID or driver’s license.
“This event is about meeting people where they are and helping remove one of the most common barriers to stability,” said Jordan Hilker, safety and environment manager at Spokane Public Library. “Without an ID, it can be incredibly difficult to access housing, employment, or healthcare. By offering this service alongside trusted community partners, we’re helping open doors and create pathways forward for our neighbors who need it most.”
There will also be local organizations offering support for housing, employment, food access, clothing, counseling, addiction and recovery and more.
