A warming trend will take us to the 70s later this week, but first there’s more showery afternoon weather to deal with.
Plan Your Monday
Today will start mostly dry, but spotty showers are possible again this afternoon. Rain chances will only be around 20 percent for Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, but will be more like 50 percent in Southeast Washington and the Central Idaho Panhandle. Temperatures will hit the low 60s in the late afternoon. Any showers diminish quickly in the evening.
What We’re Tracking
We’ll have another day of spotty afternoon rain chances on Tuesday before some changes begin. A strong ridge of high pressure builds over the region starting Wednesday. This will push temperatures into the 70s by the end of the workweek. Another quick-moving weather disturbance is possible at the start of the weekend that will bear watching in the days ahead. What we do know about this coming Bloomsday weekend is that it will be warm.
