MOSCOW, Idaho – The all-time leading scorer in Idaho high school basketball history is coming back to his home state.
University of Idaho announced Kase Wynott is transferring from WSU to become a Vandal.
Wynott was a four-year varsity player for Lapwai High School and a three-time state champion.
He was the 2024 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year.
Wynott played two seasons for WSU, but was hurt for much of the second season.
A hip injury sidelined Wynott and he didn’t see the floor after November 24th.
“Kase is coming home,” Vandals Coach Alex Pribble said in the news release announcing Wynott’s commitment. “He was a recruit we really prioritized when our staff first got here, so it’s exciting to officially get him in the Vandal uniform.”
Idaho won the Big Sky Tournament and made it back the NCAA tournament this season for the first time since 1990.
